Alyssa Mansfield, PhD, discusses her epidemiological study of the effects of deployment on mental health diagnoses in spouses of active duty Army personnel. This study showed that women whose husbands were deployed were more likely to have mental health diagnoses and more likely to use mental health services than women whose husbands were not deployed.
